This was a round that shows me let again that You-all are not to be
fooled. I didn't combine 1 and 4 because while *over here* in the UK it
can have the meaning to chew or to eat it is almost invariably used in
its special meaning of to eat the consecrated host at the Lord's supper.
In USA dictionaries only the simple meaning shows up. To eat in Latin
was edire (edible) but in late 5th C became manducare and in particular
In the Vulgate translation of the New Testament, /mandūcāre/ is used
several times (e.g. Luke 22:15, John 13:18) to render words spoken by
Christ at the Last Supper, hence its importance in 17th-cent. and later
polemic

Chris Carson scored* 5 and is our next dealer The real winner s are
Nancy Shepherdson, Tim Bourne, Mike Shefler, Steve Dixon, Dave
Cunningham with 4 points

I did not know the word -- but it sounded a lot like "masticate" to me.

Well that’s unexpected. Unfortunately I’m going to have to beg off. Were going down to Virginia for a long weekend and will be in a place without cell or internet service from the time we turn off I-81 and get west of Staunton. So it looks like I will owe someone a deal.
