Here are 12 definitions for MEESE, one of which came from a respectable
dictionary.
Vote for your two favorites no later than 5 PM, EDT, Wednesday, October 25.

1. a small but unspecified amount of an ingredient to be added to a
recipe.

2. a wartime substitute for cheese.

3. [Metallurgy] a device for extracting small samples of ore for
analysis.

4. an inward-arcing retaining wall.

5. a thin layer of water-resistant material placed between shingles and
insulation in roof construction.

6. a foolish act or remark.

7. a drapery-maker.

8. the observation of certain landmarks in order to locate a particular
spot at sea.

9. delicate, weak, sickly, feeble; unable to endure fatigue, etc.;
susceptible (to cold, etc.).

10. space through which animal tracks pass.

11. [Obs. OE] a miss, an oldest daughter.

12. a disqualification for a political appointment.

I had a hard time choosing a second option. All but one sounded kind of
preposterous to me. Which means I *definitely* got this wrong. So like . .
.. good word choice? Have a couple macaroons.

As of this moment in time it is more than 30 hours past Mike's deadline
and I have seen nothing about results - am I excluded or is something
adrift?
