Folks,
About midway through the definition period and with about 24 hours to go, we have a respectable ten creative definitions of TUMI. They come from players Barrs, Bourne, Carson, Cunningham, Hale, Lodge, Madnick, Shefler, Stevens, and Widdis. With another coming from a dictionary, that's a total of eleven. It would still be good to have a few more, though.
There have been no DQs so far, so the word will stand.
As usual:
- If you sent one and your name is in the above list, all is well.
- If you sent one and your name isn't in the list, please send it again. If you sent it to emallach (AT) umassd (DOT) edu <mailto:emallach (AT) umassd (DOT) edu>, please send it to emallach (AT) verizon (DOT) net <mailto:emallach (AT) verizon (DOT) net> as requested in the call for definitions, since I don't watch the former address much any more. (That said, I only found one at that address so far; its sender is in the list.) It might also be good to send a public message to the effect that you are doing one of these.
- If you didn't send one yet, please do. New players: Please send your invented definition of TUMI to emallach (AT) verizon (DOT) net <mailto:emallach (AT) verizon (DOT) net>, not by public reply to this message or to the earlier call for definitions, so nobody but me will know who it's from.
The deadline for definitions remains as sent out yesterday:
