Shouldn't somebody have dealt a new word for round 1830 by now? I think
results of the last round were reported around noon (EDT) Friday. It's now
around 29 hours later.....

the crazy formatting with nothing but ones. So it has something to do with
the New/Old interface. I don't what to do to force it through Google Groups

It came through perfectly fine (by e-mail) the first time here, as well as
all subsequent times including this latest one. All 21 defs numbered
perfectly correctly. Nothing wrong at all.

in the heat of the moment I neglected to add a title. Foreseeing a hectic
week-end I did allow a fairly long time to collect definitions. Tim changed
the thread title when there was still more than 24 hours to go - but while
doing so he said it was mistitled as "Google Group Wierdness" -- on my
records it just doesn't have a title at all which is obviously my fault

Thinking about it I can award votes at dealer discretion and so as this is
my fault I shall award you a DP

Johnny - Thanks but no I don't think DP are in order here; I'd much rather
sit the round out. It's not like I played but got left out, I simply
missed the round., same as if I missed the deadline for any other reason.
Obviously 17 other people saw the new word so I don't feel cheated,
disadvantaged or mistreated in any way. I could of course vote but the
interest for me is more in defining than voting so I'll just regard this as
a missed round.

Glen, was that a vote for hance? I missed it because it came through as a
new topic with no subject. It's best to vote in a reply to the dealer's
message so that the v'otes all get grouped together, or at least include
the word in your subject line. Nevertheless you were in time - and you

Sorry Glen, we both seem to have our wires crossed now.

If I'd been paying attention to the date of your first message I'd have
realised you were voting in the previous round (coffle). And now with your
second message it appears you are voting in my round (hance) and that would
be fine except that I had foolishly and erroneously closed the round and
posted the so-called results about 5 hours earlier. Did you not see that?
So I can't count that vote unfortunately, not that it would have done you
any good but Efrem and Steve would have enjoyed it.

My earlier general comment still stands - when voting it's best to send it
as a reply to the dealer's message. Or if you start a new one please put
the word or the round number in the subject. (It also helps if the dealer
is awake but that's another story.)
