1. A cheap suit of clothes.

2. A mythical creature from Australian aboriginal folklore,
resembling a furred six-legged crocodile with upwardly protruding tusks.

3. A species of small, poisonous ground dwelling frogs, native
to South America; they produce their own poison rather than obtain it from
their food source as is the case in every other poisonous frog species.

4. An eye-catching curio or trinket of little value.

5. A kind of earthenware.

6. A physician (NZ slang)

7. Barbarous; stupefied from drink.

8. A dessert of mixed fruit and other ingredients [Austr.,
origin unknown]

9. A long wailing sound, repeated periodically.

I'll start by narrowing it down to the four Antipodean definitions. One is from New Zealand; include that. Eliminate the Aussie dessert, because I've read that the only two Australian desserts are pavlovas and lamingtons. That leaves the Australian non-drinker and the Aboriginal mythical creature. I'll eliminate the non-drinker, since of those two, an Australian non-drinker is far less likely to actually exist.

Hence: 2 and 6.

I'll vote for 2 and 6 for no good reasons:
