Here are 12 defs for "Nina With Her Hair Let Down". Vote for your two
favorites no later than 5 PM, EDT, Thursady, July 13.

1. The removal of the veil and chaplet after "first communion" as a part
of the rite of passage to adulthood; this being the first time a
young lady displays her hair in public. [RC. Latin America - now
going out of fashion]

2. [Slang] On the prowl, looking for love.

3. The 1863 6d postage stamp of Great Britain, so called because, unlike
all the prior issues for Queen Victoria, her hair was not shown as
being in a bun.

4. The point of nine in craps dice.

5. (Slang) A working dog used as a family pet when off duty, esp. when
being inadvertently destructive.

6. A slang phrase meaning talking publicly about a very private personal
matter.

7. [N. Eng.] A perennial flower with drooping tendrils.

8. Someone who appears very serious, but is less so on closer
acquaintance.

9. _Naut._ A decorative knot of no practical purpose used as a test for
trainee seamen.

10. The maidenhair fern (_Adiantum_)

11. An inexperienced beginner.

12. A sickly or weak person, especially one who is constantly and
morbidly concerned with his or her health.

I've narrowed down my choices to three and will probably eliminate the correct definition:

6. A slang phrase meaning talking publicly about a very private personal
matter.
7. [N. Eng.] A perennial flower with drooping tendrils.
