Unbelievable. Totally.

Since I never guess the right one, I'll go for consistency: Eschewing all
of the Italians and Africans, one of which is probably right, I'll pick #11
and #18.

There's nothing wrong with a split personality around here. At least,
that's what I keep telling myself.

And, of course, you're the only one who will listen to you. <G>

Are the two of you battening down the hatches - yet again - for
Wilma? If so, good luck! My next-door neighbour has booked a holiday
on Marco Island starting on 5th November - he's hoping it's still
going to be there.

We'll be battening down Saturday or Sunday, depending on how the
forecast looks. Right now it's plotted to cross Florida abbout 60
miles to my North, weakening over land to maybe 80 knots. There's a
lot of wobble room in a five day forecast, so I'm just stocking up
on non-perishable food. The store I visited yesterday had HUGE piles
of bottled watter and batteries.

I've still got all the bookmarks for hurricane tracking from the time
that my daughter was living in the Caribbean. Weather Undergroung
shows an area of risk for Wilma that stretches from the Florida
Panhandle to Cuba, so you're right to be prepared.

If you've been looking at the computer models on Weather Underground,
you've seen how erratic the forecast is. It's caught between two high
pressure cells and it's almost stationary until the Jet Stream picks
it up and whips it swiftly northeast. As of Friday night, they're
showing a category 1 storm reaching the west coast of Florida --
somewhere -- around Monday night.

You might ask your neighbor to phone ahead and make sure the hotel is still there. Hurricane Wilma is supposed to hit Marco Island in about 3 hours.

He was planning to rent a house, actually. He's held on to the
advance payment until he hears whether it's still standing.

I've just seen pictures of Naples on TV which showed quite a lot of
damage. I hope you've come through it unscathed.
