Wow, another quickie def rises to the top. I'm going to flex the
deadlines again to accommodate my work schedule in that cellular black
hole that is lower Manhattan in an internet free office as well as a trip
to Princeton for my son-in-law's birthday brunch and trip to the Princeton
Art Museum. So without further ado --

Barring a rash of DQs, the word for round 2737 is

*
***
*****
*******
*********
*********** W A I N
*********
*******
*****
***
*

Capitalization is not significant.

Please submit your fake definitions for this word, by _email_, on or
before the deadline, which is 6:30 PM EDT on Friday, September 2, 2016, or
3:30 PM PDT .

If you will be a DQ, please advise soonest so that your dealah can go back
to the archives and dust off another woid.

Ah, what else can go wrong. I'll correct the round number when I post a new word, necessitated by the rash of DQs. I had a feeling about that word but somehow the plain 'wain' failed to register until the mention of 'wainwright'. My bad. I have a backup word ready which I will post as soon as I can put together a new message and pop down to Starbucks to use their wifi.
