Fellow players,

I was concerned when the first two voters, Keith Hale and Shani Naylor, both picked the correct definition of UGER: #10, the ancient Roman unit of area. Fortunately for my ego, nobody else followed their lead.

Three players had five points in this deal: Judy Madnick, Tim Bourne and the aforementioned Shani. Since two of Shani’s points came from finding the rose among thorns, it came down to a rolling score tie-breaker between Judy and Tim. Judy is one point ahead in the relevant total (previous four rounds not including this one, or five with this one) so she gets the next deal. Tim and Shani share the coveted runner-up spot.

Full results:

It’s all yours, Judy!

Hearty and very sincere congratulations on your win, Judy! I was afraid I could see a deal coming in
this direction.

Best wishes,
Tim Bourne.

Who woulda' thought I'd be ahead in the rolling score with my history of
many zeroes! I'll post a new word a little later (probably after 12 ET), as
we'll be out all morning.
