Hi all

We have before us 14 of definitions for today's word OXYGAL. Please vote
for the two which tickle your fancy. You're welcome to vote even if you
didn't submit a definition and are lurking on the site....


1. Rhetorical device opposite to an oxymoron. 1. Similar terms are placed
in conjunction for emphasis. 2. A false opposition of similar terms.

2. Descriptive of a chemical reaction that as a by-product creates an
oxygen radical.

3. Drug that hastens the process of childbirth.

4. Having sharp or pointed edges.

5. An ornamental hanging of rich fabric as behind an altar.

6. A rudimentary shelter.

7. Essential to life.

8. A carbonated savory soup from fermented grains.

9. The utmost refinement of sensation. [Obs.]

10. An antelope with long, sharply curved horns, native to the Arabian
peninsula.

11. Sour milk.

12. Of or relating to marsupials.

13. A gas pressure regulator on a cutting torch.

14. Having a sharp or acidic flavour.

I feel as though I have to vote for 4 and 14 since the previous three players did so. But I won't...at least not for both of them. :-)

I'll vote for these definitions:

I had already decided to vote for 4 because shiny, pointy toys! And I
just got a new set of knives delivered today, and it cut my steak like
butter. But I digress... I decided to vote for it before seeing that
it's unanimous so far. What does that say about our players?

And I'm intrigued by a carbonated soup, savory or not, so 8 gets my
other vote.
