Here we have 15 defs of the word ZARDOZI, only one of which came from my
dictionary. Please vote for your two favourites by public reply to this
message, before the deadline of:

20:00 CET on Monday 13th June
or 19:00 BST for the dealer
or 18:00 UTC
or 2:00 PM EDT
or 11:00 AM PDT
or 04:00 AEST on Tuesday in Melbourne
or 06:00 NZST on Tuesday in Wellington

using gold or silver metallic thread.

13. Indian dessert; rice coloured with saffron and flavoured with
almonds and sultanas [Urdu _zarda_ = yellow]

15. a subtribe of the Berbers of North Africa, distinguished by
flowing wide sleeved robs, known as boubous, worn by the men and a long

3 and 8, please.

I thought I'd sent a definition, but it must have been a casualty of the poor-to-nonexistent wifi I
had access to while on holiday. Home again now! While the rest of the UK seems to have endured heavy
rain, thunderstorms, flash floods and the like, in the western Lake District we had two weeks
without a single drop of rain - unheard of at this time of year!
