Does anyone know the source of this:

He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.
You are his life, his love, his leader.
He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.
You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.

So far my searches say "author unknown."

Well I looked in Google and I got no specific author. Usually I put
attribution next to quotes I like, but I probably didn't put any on this
quoted, and probably because wherever I got it didn't have any or said
anonymous or something similar.

What I did get from Google was a lot of other good dog quotes!

I clicked on almost 100 results to compare. Other than "Author Unknown"
and "Anonymous" there was one particular attribution repeated about a
dozen times:

/*Taken from a LO done by Too Scrappy
*/

I have no idea what a LO is, or if Too Scrappy is a forum nickname, a
book title, or something else entirely and had no luck tracking this
information down. It amused me not that I saw this once (what might be
expected when one person tried to credit their own source) but that it
was repeated on numerous other unrelated sites, as if it was a
legitimate attribution.
