Here are 19 definitions for that word of many meanings, RUCK. All but one
are clever constructions of the players, and the other is copied directly
from a major dictionary.

Please cast your vote for any two by open post to the list in order to be
received by Sunday, January 3, at 2:00 PM EST or the equivalent in your
time zone. Good luck to all.

Glad to see that rubble is still alive and well in 2016, but I'll go for
15 and 17.

9 is irresistible, and double it for 18, which might even be real. And a
happy '16 to all.

Honorable mentions to the authors of 5 and 9 which perhaps should be
combined. Likewise 4 and 12 make an possible pair since either might ask "I
suppose a ruck would be out of the question?".

My votes however go to other sporting arenas, even though I know nothing
about horse racing and rugby - 3 and 8.

5 and 9 have a traditional appeal … but it sounds like something a sportsperson would come up with. I’ll try 3 and 8.

I hope I'm not too late!

I got all wrapped up in Sunday's political news programs.

Hastily, hoping Dick hasn't tallied the votes yet, and with no real fondness for any of the defs:

15. food or other provisions

and

19. a flat four-wheeled wagon for carrying goods
