Welcome to Round 2670, the last round of 2015!

Found somewhere in the dictionary between DITHYRAMB and DIZDAR is:

*** DIXIT ***

Please send me your fabulous, fanciful, fake, fictitious, fairy-tale,
fabricated, false, fantastical, forged, fabled, far fetched, fraudulent,
flim flam, feigned, fanatical, and figmental definitions for dixit by
email to widdis (AT) dixonary (DOT) net

Including DIXIT and/or 2670 in your subject line will reduce the chances
that I'll miss your submission.

The deadline will be in about 34½ hours, on Tuesday December 29, 2015 at
6pm PST on the US Left Coast, which is 9pm EST on the Right Coast, and
on Wednesday the 28th at 2am GMT/UTC in the UK, 3a CET in the
Netherlands, 1pm AEDT in Melbourne and 3pm NZDT in Wellington. Should I
have missed your time zone, a webpage which will convert the deadline to
your own timezone and offer links to add calendar events and other
tools, can be found here

Obviously Wednesday is the day AFTER the 29th, which would be the
30th... is there an obscure word for "copying and pasting and forgetting
to edit the old text"?

Actually, it's round 2671 as Dave never numbers his rounds.

As we approach another year, I"m just wondering when did the round number
overtake the year? I'm guessing about 2009?

I didn't think you are meant to give the definition of the word until
after we had played the round
