Wow! This has been one helluva play. First I picked a  word that seemed ever so obscure to me; and boy, was I ever wrong -- with no less than a whopping D5 plus a pair of DQs. Second, trying to do the deal manually without my old files or even a printer proved worse than I anticipated; and I fear that I have made a dog's dinner out of the whole thing.

I think (and hope) I've finally got it right;  but if not, I apologize and seek your pardon; but I don't have any way of reconstructing the original data, as my file system has rebelled on me.

In any event, if the numbers are correct, then our clear winner is Tim Lodge, with a grand total of 5 points. Real winners were runners-up Jim Hart and Paul Keating, with 4 points each.

Dick, with apologies, I was also DQ. Due to time constraints, I neither informed
you of this before now nor submitted a definition.
