Here we have 16 carefully-crafted defs of the word CHAMOTTE, only one of
which came from my dictionary. Please vote for your two favourites by
public reply to this message before the deadline of:

Sometimes I see a definition and think it's probably false but it deserves
a vote because there ought to be a word for that. For a moment I was going
to put 15 in that category, then I thought even if such a thing exists it
doesn't need its own word. But I'm probably wrong and what would I know
about French tennis or drainage anyway?

Well right or wrong, my votes go instead to the rag and the clay - 7 and
14,
