View Full Version : [Dixonary] Round 2608 PROGRESS: zeigarnik (+"Fame" trivia)

As of 8PM Texas Yee Haw Shoot-em-up Time, i have definitions so far
submitted by: Tim Bourne \ Jim Hart \ Shani Naylor \ Dave Cunningham \
Judy Madnick \ Guerri Stevens \ Paul Keating \ Mike Shefler \ Johnny Barrs
\ Daniel Widdis \ Christopher Carson \ Efrem Mallach

That is 12 humans and a dictionary so far. If you sent and don't see your
name, i missed it somehow. Be sure to have the word "zeigarnik" and i
should get them just fine. There are still 17 hours or so to submit,
remember anyone can submit for their first time, just make sure it is a
private message to thoughtstorms (AT) gmail (DOT) com!

As for the word, this round, i searched for "zeigarnik" in my e-mail - and
being a digital packrat i found round 2217 from June 2011, where i dealt
zeigarnik right before the rightful winner Johnny B had already stepped up
and dealt a different word. So hopefully everyone was patient and didn't
look it up!

~~~~~OT~~~~~
The premier was a small affair, but still cool to be in a movie shown on a
screen a few minutes after Avengers Age of Ultron was on it! We had fun,
the three biggest stars couldn't make it, so it was just 4 of the 5 bikers
joining the crew. It was a little like a première just for the extras!
Heh heh. Fickle fame retreats yet again, except on Facebook, where i am
getting razzed for padding out my page on IMDb:
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3045637/?ref_=ttfc_fc_cl_t3 Only "Little
Texas" is me, and the credit should be "Lead BikeR" - not the
Pee-Wee-Herman-esque 'Bike Leader'.
(I think that the robot panda must have hit me really hard that one time,
because i have no memory of being in that "Fight the Panda Syndicate" movie
at all!)
(You have to pay for an IMDb membership to update that stuff. Quite a
racket. Attached, though, is me in my Despicable Character role!) (If it
helps, think of the {nice-version-of-the} character's name -also the name
of the file- as someone who makes gloves for 3.1415926535897......)
Last vanity post about the movie, someone asked for a link where it could
be seen. Be warned, it is fairly "gritty", and adult-languaged! I play
one of several very bad guys.
https://vimeo.com/christopherbigbie/lt
(I had two improvised lines make the cut... i'm prouder of "empty headband"
than the "red rover" one.)
Did you use "Ziegarnik" or any other dixonary words?
I might have yelled something quite similar when i accidentally fell
while practising how to react to the explosions - without falling! I
blame the cowboy boots i hadn't worn in 8 years!
(I actually have the hardest time remembering ANY dixonary words.
Just the very few i had to be DQ on, and some of those even escape me
if i'm not looking right at them!)
Just wondering why the girl's name isn't on the credits?
I think they got it at the thrifts tore thanked in the credits. It
may have been an antique or classic, but i think it is dead as Zeke,
rest their souls!
> Totally bad-ass!!!
[c8 It was fun, and that crew worked their hearts out on 3 LONG days!
I just "worked" about 6 hours, one day. I wonder if the labour
breakdown is similar on big, high-budget movies!
>Just wondering why the girl's name isn't on the credits?
I kind of wondered that too. I think it was for safety, perhaps
against stalker-style-weirdness... that's my best guess.
She was a trouper-and-3/4! Sat around a LONG time, then did dozens of
takes right in a row, no breaks, they were losing the light!
