It is a chastening experience for the dealer when the first vote hits
the dictionary definition. Within three minutes of my posting the defs
Judy Madnick got my cherry and destroyed any chance of surviving the
round with my dealing virtue intact. I trust she will still respect me
tomorrow. And then short time later Tim B got it too. Talk about shame.
I chided myself for being too easy, fearing that my reputation would be
in the mud before the game was over. But no, amazingly that was the end
of my indignity and as the remaining votes went elsewhere I regained
some of my composure and self-respect.

The greatest number of those votes (4 to be precise) went to the
non-voting Chris Carson for his Scots def about bearing young. However
he finished behind Tim B who matched his wild apple with my wild cherry
for a total of 5 points. Thus Tim is the new dealer and Chris gets the
smug runner-up position, while I go home with my D2.

D2 is eminently respectable!
