[Dixonary] OT: Firefox Now

I have Firefox set to clear history upon exit. And I believe it actually
does. However, the minute I start Firefox, if I have internet access
turned on, it inserts a Google cookie. I experimented with this because
my computer has a switch that allows me to disable internet when I am
not going to be using it. If I do that, then start Firefox, there are no
cookies. If I close Firefox, turn internet on, and start Firefox, there
is a Google cookie.

Is this something in my setup and if so, what?

My version of Firefox is 33.1.1

Just guessing.

But maybe it could have to do with Google being your search engine.

Or with having some Google add-on in your FF extensions or plug ins.
