View Full Version : [Dixonary] Round 2510: "MORPHEW" -- please vote!

—Keith Hale—
November 5th, 2014, 09:24 AM
I have my internet issues fixt (fixed?) for now ... so here belatedly are
18 delightful bluffs and one prosaic definition.
(There were zero DQs, bee-tee-dubbleyew.)

Please vote for 2 definitions, as a group message (reply to this), or
public forum, before the deadline, which is 9PM ( 2100) on Thursday, 6
November, 2014: US Central Time Zone or the corresponding time in your
time local zone.

If, upon perusing the list you are sure that you can see the real
definition, PLEASE do not vote, - OR hit "Reply" at all.
Instead, please send me a private email to [ thoughtstorms (AT) gmail (DOT) com ]
telling me that you have to disqualify yourself.
Keeps it fair, and hopefully won't happen much.

New players are always welcome, you may vote even if you didn't submit a
definition.

15 should have a name, although I hope it's a prettier name than morphew.

And I got to 19 without finding another one to vote for.

Dontcha love it when the presumed definition of a word you don't know the
meaning of uses a word you don't know the meaning of?

I'll vote for two consisting entirely of words I know the meaning of:
> 5> a blemish or mark on the skin; blisters caused by scurvy
and
> 15> The reflection of moonlight on water

With 2 hours to vote left, i have votes from 18 players.
(I wish the turn-out had been so high here in US elections this week!)

I don't find any "straggler" votes - that come into my email as separate
messages, just the 18 that "threaded" with this vote email.

*Can someone send me the (simple) instructions for checking for votes on
the forum itself?*I've only played via email, and can't seem to find that
information right now.

Results in about 2 hours!
