Hi all - we have 19 definitions for OKTA, all but one from the fertile
imaginations of our players. Please vote for two of them.


1. [Lett.] amber


2. A large tropical stork with massive bill


3. One of several species of the Curassow family of fowl native to Central
and South America, so named for the sound of the male's cry


4. A narrow peaked cap worn by Phoenician sailors


5. In ancient Sparta, the eighth part of the harvest due to the state as a
tithe


6. A type of quince brandy made in Eastern Europe


7. A small notepad, originally with string binding

I don't believe vox pop. (That logic has fallen on its face more often than it's worked for me in the past, but why should that get in the way of using it?) And I doubt a New Zealand dealer would have picked a word of Maori/New Zealand origin: too obvious. Let's try 1 and 6.
