The winner of round 2535 is Dave Cunningham, whose definition “ch. York.
Capable of being used as bait (angling); handsome (of a person); toothsome
(of food)” earned a natural 8.

There were two players in coveted second place with 5 points each: Millie
Morgan and Dick Weltz.

The true definition was 17: “Of pasture-land: Good for the sustenance of
flocks and herds; feeding, fattening; fertile in pasture”, an
uncharacteristically expansive definition from the OED
<http://www.oed.com/view/Entry/16207?p=emailAujmOWYCk16N2&d=16207> (which
defines it via a cross-reference
<http://www.oed.com/view/Entry/16211?p=emailAuMQU4B03FG7Y&d=16211>). The
expansiveness may relate to its early date: 1885. I think the sheer size of
the projected dictionary had still not quite sunk in. Two perceptive
players guessed it.
