I am totally at a loss... it sounds like an older word which eliminates
some options... but then again it doesn't seem to me to have the weight
of the ages either so nothing is of any help and my choices are reduced
to 14 (after all I do know which one is mine)

#9 doesn't take my fancy in any way and I suspect #16 is equally as
revolting a job - so these will be my choices please

9. liquid extracted from the trap of an unventilated pipe or drain.

15. crew member of a whaling ship who draws off whale oil from the
trypots into storage barrels, responsible for the quality of the product.

(If #9 isn't real, I can't help wondering what was going through its creator's mind at the time.)

because I think all dragons deserve small slave creatures, and there should
be a word for them

and

because I think it might possibly be right.
