As you might have inferred from the subject line, the word for Round 2484 is LATTEN. Capitalization is not significant.

Please send your "definition" by private e-mail to emallach - at - verizon - dot - net. Don't Reply to this message, since that will send your definition to the whole group. If you know the word, please tell me that information by private e-mail as well. Knowing the word doesn't bar you from submitting an invented definition, only from voting on what the true definition is.

The deadline for submitting definitions is a bit under 40 hours from now: noon U.S. eastern time on Wednesday, February 19th. According to a time conversion Web site, that is also:

11 am, same date, U.S. Central Time
10 am, same date, U.S. Mountain Time
9 am, same date, U.S. Pacific Time
5 pm, same date, U.K. time
6 pm, same date, in most of continental Europe
4 am, Thursday, Feb. 20, in Melbourne

I don't take responsibility for the conversions, though. If in doubt, please check yours yourself. I'll send out the list as soon as possible after my clock strikes noon.

New player are welcome!

Efrem

(We returned home to find that a kind neighbor who owns a snowblower had cleared most of the snow for us. We still had to shovel a bit, such as the stairs to our front porch, but nothing like it would have been without him. More snow tomorrow, but not much.)
