I thought the def was intriguing, and am still not exactly sure what a
trumeau looks like -- unfortunately Johnny likes weird defs <g>. Millie
is Da Winnah with 4 points, while Jim Hart gets the deal with 5 total
points. D3 isn't all that bad though.

1. a triplet; one of three. (Lodge) 4 14 nil
2. Indifference or unconcern. (Abell) 5 8 (Weltz) 1
3. A rich cream flavored with anise (Shefler) *7 12 (Madnick) 2 + 1 = 3
4. A net or mesh foundation for lace (Carson) 16 17 (Hale) (Lodge) 2
5. a fortified place of refuge(Stevens) 8 16 (Morgan) (Abell)
(Schultz) 3
6. a seal or insignia on a counterfeit document. (Madnick) 3 13 (Widdis)
1
7. a piece of wall or pillar between two openings. (Chambers) xx
(Shefler) (Barrs) (Hart) D3
8. A long blast on a brass instrument, esp. a bugle. (Mallach) NV
(Widdis) (Stevens) (Abell) 3
9. a fringed shawl with the ends of the warp-threads left unwoven
(Barrs) *7 17 2 + 0 = 2
10. [Fr] The aluminum frame of a paragliding wing (parapente) (Graham)
15 16 nil
11. A small flat bastion, raised in the middle of an overlong curtain.
(Widdis) 6 8 nil
12. an unplanned path through grass or other ground cover vegetation
(Hale) 4 14 (Shefler) 1
13. a pudding-like dessert made with raisins, candied fruit, and brandy.
(Weltz) 2 15 (Morgan) (Madnick) 2
14. a kind of game in which players score by rolling ivory balls through
numbered arches. (Keating) NV (Hale) 1
15. a type of framework made of stiffened fabric to support the drapery of
a woman's dress. (Hart) *7 17 (Graham) (Weltz) (Lodge) 2+3 = 5
<---Dealah
16. tongue-in-cheek coinage denoting wardrobe purchases by a man in
anticipation of his wedding. (Schultz) 5 17
(Graham) (Stevens) (Carson) 3
17. a process whereby branches of woody plants are interwoven and plaited
together to form a dense, shady alcove. (Morgan) 5 13 (Barrs) (Schultz)
(Carson) (Hart) 4 <- Winnah!

Except that, as you say, Tim Lodge voted for 4 and 14(Paul), not 15(Jim).
So Millie's natural 4 would make her the dealer, I believe.

Trumeau: according to the OED is a pillar between two doors in an arched
doorway - see below for OED Online entry and the first citation (the other
definition is of a pier-glass - the word apparently derives from French
"calf of the leg"

JohnnyB
*2.* *Archit.* A stone pillar supporting the middle of the tympanum of a
doorway, esp. in a church.
1890 C. H. Moore *Gothic Archit.* vii. 262 After the eleventh century
the principal portals of great monastic and cathedral churches were
commonly divided into two openings by *trumeaux*, or pillars of stone,
affording place for sculpture, which consisted usually of a statue with
more or less subordinate carving.

Correct -- Millie is now the Dealah, and Paul is Winnah and all mistakes
are the fault of the dealer. Sorry about that.

Uh, since Millie has 4 natural points and Jim 4 unnatural ones, I'd say
that Millie's the new dealer and JIM the real winner.
