This was a fraught round on my part - never knowing if the tablet would
hold up -- now to relax by watching the superbowl

Millie Morgan, Jim Hart scored 4 but Jim's natural trumps Millie's
unnatural and so Jim is our is our next dealer
The real winner is therefore Millie while Tim Lodge, Steve Dixon, Mike
Shefler, Dodi Schultz and the OED all gained 3 points

Over to you Jim - at least the Oz times will be correct!

It doesn't affect the scores, since neither of us picked the right definition, but both Dodi and I voted well before the deadline.

Dodi Schultz

Actually, Millie outranks Jim in the rolling scores. But Millie's not the
new dealer either; see below.

I certainly did vote, Johnny; here (copied from the GoogleGroups site) was
my vote:

Dodi Schultz
11:03 AM (6 hours ago)

It could be any of these, but I think I've winnowed the possibilities to
five. Of those, I'll try

and

.. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

That, I believe, gives Tony one more point and also gives Mike another
point and, since he outranks both Millie and Jim in the rolling scores,
makes Mike the new dealer.

Mea culpa.

I was right that both Dodi and I voted. (Mine were for 8 and 12.) I was wrong in saying that our votes didn't affect the scores. They didn't affect Dodi's or mine, but they affected those of the players who submitted definitions 1, 8, 12 and 14.

Yes, I saw Efrem's vote. He voted for 8 (Dick) and 12 (Chris).

Jim Hart

If y'all don't mind I'm waiting for sharper minds than mine to work this
out. JB says Mike now has 4 votes but his revised(?) results still show him
on 3. Then if Mike has 4, JB says I'm up on the rolling score while Dodi
says Mike is. Personally I think Dodi's right since it is the previous
4-round not 5-round roller that counts, as has been explained many times in
the annals (qv).

I'm always willing to shoulder the dealer's mantle when called upon, but
will await the judges' decision.
