4 and 16, please.

This may be an appropriate time to mention that while I hope to be able to play most deals, for 4
weeks from 21st I shall be away from home and relying on a tablet. The question will probably not
arise, but it would be safe to assume I would not be able to handle a deal, even if I found myself
with a reliable internet connection.

Best wishes,
Tim Bourne.

I'm away and using my phone to vote via tapcis.com, so I hope it works. As I've told Tony, I wouldn't be able to deal in the unlikely event that I won this round.

I vote for 2 and 18.

At first the word seemed faintly familiar so I thought I might be a dq when
I saw the defs. Not so. Nothing even remotely recognisable in this batch
so now I vote with a clear conscience in the bliss of total ignorance.
After rejecting anything to do with ice, rice or animals, I'm leaning to
the waste material and the sailing thing - 11 and 17.

8 for the portmanteau, and 13 because of the discussion about "grouse" when
the word was proposed, so whoever submitted this def has nerve.

Inasmuch as I owe the group a couple of deals since it seems that the only
time I "win" is when I'm headed out of the country, I'll be pleased to deal
in your stead should the need arise.
Safe travels
