I suspect definitions using an unknown word to define an unknown word...
so I shall vote for a gleeky game and for my other choice I fancy an
expanding climber in a narrowing situation
#3 and #15 please

Well, eliminating anything that has to do with death and mourning, in addition to a few others that I just don't like, I'll vote for these improbable definitions:
3: In the former game of gleek: four cards of the same value, as four aces
or four kings; hence, four of anything
15: In rock climbing, an inside corner that widens to a dihedral

2 had me at "Bradbury" and 15 mainly to avoid the "mourn" sound.

sounds like number 8 to me -- unless, of course, it's number 11
8: An ornamental hanging of rich fabric
11: a medieval French secret society dedicated to the practice of the
black
arts; a member of said society

How about a couple of long shots with no association with grieving, funerals, and the like.

and
15: In rock climbing, an inside corner that widens to a dihedral
Thanks,

I feel like choosing 8 and 13 this time. (Note to those who read this far: I am seldom right, so you might want to choose others.)

Hi Millie,
A very interesting list. And a tough choice.
I guess I'll say a prayer for the safety of all rock climbers.
