View Full Version : [Dixonary] ROUND 2446 - NEW WORD - XYSTUS
Judy Madnick
October 3rd, 2013, 03:51 PM
The word for Round 2446, barring too many DQs, is:
********************
XYSTUS
********************
Capitalization is not significant. Do not look it up! Please create a fake definition and send that definition to jmadnick (AT) gmail (DOT) com by creating a new message; do not use the "reply" button, or your fake definition will be seen by all the players.
Please submit your fake definitions on or before the deadline, which is Saturday, October 5, 2013, at 8 a.m.... or the corresponding time where you live!
If you know this word, please let me know ASAP -- if too many players know the definition, I will find a new word.

You're right! That's weird. It doesn't LOOK that way, but that's what
appears when you mouse it. I hadn't noticed because I hadn't tried to use
it. Judy's in my Tbird address book (as are all the Dixonary players).

The underlying link in judy's reference e-mail address is:

In other words, you cannot click on it to send a fake def because there's no
such account.

It should of course have a colon after the "to" so the link should read "
to:jmadnick (AT) gmail (DOT) com"
I wonder how it got that incorrect

That would still put an incorrect Email address into the To field. At
least it does for me, using Thunderbird, when I click on the link.

Hi, all,
There *was* a colon after the "to" (I checked the source code also, and everything looked correct). I don't know how the "to" slipped into the address field, but I hope that if the message bounced for anyone, they realized what happened and resent.
And I forgot to send a list of those who have sent definitions so I WILL EXTEND THE DEADLINE TO 1 P.M.
Thanks for your patience.
Judy
