I know that a number of Dixonarians use Gmail, so I thought I'd pass this
along; it was posted on a writers' listserv.

Gmail's filters are getting increasingly problematic. They snared two emails from someone I was interviewing, as well as some press releases. This looks like a change in procedures; it's the first time I have seen individual emails caught rather than press releases. If you are using Gmail, you should check your spam filters and mark the false positives as "Not Spam" (in the hope that Gmail is trying to train its systems).

I check my gmail spam daily and have for some time. It's amazing what sometimes gets caught in the spam filter! By and large, though, I find that gmail's spam filters are very good.
