Fun!

I went to look up the woid (after voting, of course) and didn't find it
but I did find a "phenakistoscope" which is an early animation device (one
of those spinning wheels which produces the effect of movement). I didn't
read far enough to see the etymology pointed to #20, and just assumed that
all those of us voting for #3 got it right with retinal impressions. Go
figure!

It seems Millie has been dealing a lot lately!

I picked it up a year or two ago when the OED had a two-week free online
browsing period. It's online at Wiktionary, which uses the OED definition,
though without attribution. It's also online at Collins (a British
dictionary), whose def is worded a bit differently:
http://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/phenakism

And it's in /M-W II/, which isn't online; the def there is "deception" and
the origin is the Greek "phenakismos", which means exactly the same thing.

Gotta' love those "killer players"! They ensure that I don't have to "deal"! LOL!

Millie is a killer player! It seems as if she's on about every third round.
