Here they are, 15 defs in all, only one of which came from my dictionary.

Vote for TWO definitions, as a public forum message (in reply to this one),
before the deadline:

Friday, June 14th 2:00 PM Eastern Time.


New players are welcome, even if you didn't enter a definition this round.
Don't look in a dictionary.

1: a curse

2: a closet

3: orach; saltbush

4: a muzzle for a horse

5: last segment of a crustacean

6: [geol.] the edge of a sinkhole

7: [mus.] counter-point to an heroic coda

8: an oriental style of bell with a long cylindrical shape

9: an observational opening in a stone wall or fortification

10: [theol.] a warning from a heavenly being, e.g., an angel, to a person

11: [dent.] the process of removing plaque and debris from that part of a
tooth below the gum line

12: a walking stick or cane, having a ball-shaped handle usually made of
ivory, lacquered ebony, or silver

13: a legal notice or warning, either general, or for the special purpose
of summoning a third party to appear in a suit

14: a precast concrete shape with four arms at equal angles to each other,
used to construct or reinforce sea walls and breakwaters
15: sound emitted by the formation of cavities in a body tissue or an
organ, especially those formed in the lung as a result of tuberculosis
