We have ended with a total of 17 very clever and creative definitions for
KAVYA, one of which is the true one. Please vote for your two favorites,
by public reply to this message, before deadline, which is 9:00 AM EDT on
Monday, May 20, 2013, or 6:00 AM PDT .

1. A Middle Eastern spiced coffee drink.
2. A liar.
3. [Finn.] Coffee.
4. A hooded cloak worn in Morocco.
5. A Romanian confection, made with sugar and flavored
with rosewater, bergamot, and hyssop.
6. Fencing position with the non-sword hand positioned
behind the back, customary in Polish sabre fencing.
7. A round shallow well in sandy soil, common in East
Africa, which is highly vulnerable to contamination.
8. A porcelain bell.
9. An intoxicating beverage prepared by grinding or
pounding the roots of _Piper methysticum_, a plant endemic
to the western Pacific islands.
10. A membranous outgrowth on a plant or animal.
11. A name applied in Eastern countries to any spirituous
liquor of native manufacture; especially, that distilled
from the fermented sap of the coco-palm
12. A small South American rodent.

14 and 16 rejecting anything which could remotely be ingested. I like the
well also as it shows off the problematic comma (does "contamination" apply
to the well, the soil, or East Africa?)
