13-2 in the sixth AND Boston losing 7-3 in the seventh???

Am I dreaming? We are pounding the tar out of the D-Rays and Boston taking it on the chin? We could be at 2 back by the end of the day?

A good day, at least for today.

:D

Mike,

15-2 in the 6th!!! And it still ain't over and Toronto 8, Boston 3 in the 7th!

It seems that Toronto is to Boston what Tampa Bay has been to the Bronx Bombers (in the past, I hasten to hope)!

It's now 17-2. Somehow I think we might win this one...

This is over. Boston has lost and we are not going to lose a game with a 17-3 lead in the ninth!

You know, I wish Toronto and Oakland a ton of luck in their next week. <g>

(Boston's opponents for the next week. <evil grin>)

Judy,

Wang up next against Tampa and Henricks (sp) who has beat us 3 straight games this year. I've got another five spot on Wang!

I've got another five spot on Wang!I'd very much appreciate it if you'd put that same five spot on every one of our pitchers the rest of the season... and the post-season... It's worked so far!

Dare I? :)Hard to tell... 19 games left, 2-1/2 back of Boston, one game back of Cleveland... (and two games straight from the D-Rays!).

Wang pitched a gritty game and Jeter came through (and so did our favorite inconsistent relief pitcher).

20 games over .500, not bad. Now, will the Red Sox just lose?! <g>

Mike,

Wang was just O.K. Torre said he expects better as the rust chips off. A great and gritty game as you said. As for the Red Sox, people had better start pitching AROUND Pappy.

<sigh>

Nineteen games left and 2 1/2 back? Oh boy, what a season.

Judy,

ah....I want to, ah, spot my good luck bets. (I'm quite superstitious you know.)

Having said that, somebody has got to remember to pitch AROUND Pappy and maybe we have a shot. I don't think Beantown's pitching matches up with ours at this stage of the year, but they've got 2 1/2 games in hand and they are a hitter's paradise up there in stinky town.

Who is Small going up against tonight?

At this point, why would anyone pitch to him? Walk him! Even if it means a run, it is at least one run.
