This deal finds me in a "wife appreciation weekend" in which I try to keep my kids alive and fed while my wife is off at her high school reunion. So far, so good.

Da woid for round 2395, found somewhere in the dictionary between nosarian and nosology, is:

*** NOSISM ***

Please send me your fabulous, fanciful, fake, fictitious, fairy-tale, fabricated, false, fantastical, forged, fabled, far fetched, fraudulent, flim flam, feigned, fanatical, and figmental definitions by private reply to this message.
- Users of the Tapcis Forum at www.tapcis.com may click on my name and "Send email to Daniel Widdis".
- Mailing list players may email me at: widdis@dixonary.net

Please include NOSISM or 2395 somewhere in your subject line or message to reduce the chances that I'll miss your definition.

The deadline for submissions is Julian date 2456390, or for those of you who use Unix, when time() reports 1365336000. If you're a fan of Microsoft, you can plug 41371.5 into Microsoft Excel to translate the deadline (Mac users might note their version of excel starts in 1904 rather than 1900, and thus would use 39909.5. If you're still using the old Julian Calendar it's on March 25. If you use the Hebrew calendar it's Nisan 28 in the year 5773. On the Islamic calendar it's Jumada I-Ula 27, 1434. Persians might want to note that the deadline falls on Farvadin 19, in the year 1392. Indians might instead choose Caitra 18, 1935. If you're familiar with the origin of the metric system you might know it was part of the French Republican revolution, whose calendar would today read Année 221 de la République, Mois de Germinal, Décade II, Jour du Nonidi. We all know the Mayan Long Count calendar reached a new baktun last year; the deadline will fall on 13.0.0.5.8.

For most of the rest of us, the deadline is 5am PDT/8am EDT on Sunday, April 7, which is noon UTC. Our players in Melbourne have until 22:00. All of those times are about 37 hours from now.
