We have, for your consideration, a not overly long list of 17 definitions,
only one of which is taken from an actual dictionary. Please vote for any
two of your choice and email your selections to the group.

2: an inability to produce tears

3: a type of Paleolithic figure depicting horses found in the caves at
Lascaux in southwestern France

4: a name of endearment; a pet name

5: having an abnormally small heart

6: the belief that the human condition will inevitably decline

7: a complete lack of empathy

8: underdevelopment of the large muscles of the torso

9: wide-eyed: med. an illness of the eye where the pupil is overly
dilated; cosm. caused by topical application of atropine [Gr. _'upo+ _kors_ =
girl, doll, pupil of the eye]

10: a belief that there is an extremely unstable subterranean flaw in the
earth that will eventually cause such massive earthquakes and volcanic
activity that the planet will be destroyed

11: the philosophical or religious idea, practised by several monastic
orders, that salvation is only possible through extreme poverty

The deadline for receipt of your votes will be Thursday, January 3, at 5:00
PM Eastern Time. Good luck.

One reason for the brevity is that my def's not on the list (which,
weirdly, has your signature in the middle instead of at the end).

I'm privately sending you a copy of what I sent yesterday.

I guess I've got two dealer points coming.

Interesting format, with the deadline for voting in the middle.

But I don't see my definition, submitted yesterday. Did you check your spam
folder?

Tony,

You must have missed Dick's revised list, with three more definitions (probably including yours) and the signature at the end. You may have also missed a good deal of discussion about it.
