In this round Dodi's merciful act was to vote for Millie's escutcheon
while Millie in turn voted for Dodi presumably in recognition of some
distinguished achievement. Whether these votes were benevolent or
strategic we'll never know but either way these two players tied with a
natural 5. But Millie can't deny those rolling scores so she is the next
dealer and Dodi is the real winner.

My Shorter Oxford got a D1.

The original request for votes read in part:

> The deadline is 4pm Thursday my time, or 0500 UTC. For the North Americans that's Wednesday night between 9pm and 11.59 depending on your meridian. And something else for the others.

It's not yet 5 pm on Wednesday afternoon in my part of North America.

Efrem you are of course absolutely right. In my senility I confused the
times for the two deadlines, thus closing about 7 hours too early. I guess
that explains the three no-votes. It's too late to do anything about it now
so I'm afraid this will have to go down as a dealer snafu. Apologies all
round.

Jim
