View Full Version : [Dixonary] Two words: mea culpa

I have lookled up the issue about not Guerri's mail not being posted until
today: it is becasue the email address she used is not a "member" and
required moderation by one of us... whoever moderated it saw that it was
Guerri and allowed it to post without having previously followed the
postings in the forum

I admit my guilt here: I moerated Guerri's message to be "posted" at about
9:45 my time

The reason was that all the messages that Google showed me in the inbox
were the original results .... AND NO OTHERS after that ... for another
hour (about10:38 my time) then Guerri's came through and I replied to
Guerri at 11:02 my time ... and only then did Google refresh my inbox fully
and when I saw the remaining messages I realised that I had allowed two
words.

So: I appologise for the confusion - mea culpa but with a large helping
hand from Google

Speaking of moderation, I've been unable, with the "new" Google, to perform any moderation from my iPhone. I can't even find the moderation area.

Chris

I use Firefox on a desktop running XP - Every now and then when I go to
moderate "New" Google will say there are some but will not load any (load
fails) == when that happens, (using Dan's advice) I revert to "old" Google
to do the moderation....
I must admit that I keep one "'messages to moderate" message to allow me
to leap to moderation - I change it to the most recent of these messages
about once a month

That "not a member" is sort of odd. I have been using my current Email
address for quite some time, and have posted messages with it before. I
mean, new messages, not replies. In fact, I went to the group just now
and logged in with no trouble.

I should mention that before logging in, I told it to revert to the
"old" format. I don't know whether that makes a difference. Everything
seems to be OK. So I conclude that I really am a member, and there is
some other reason my message was delayed.

At any rate, it is very odd. I will post an OT message now and see
whether that one works without requiring the attention of the moderator.
