I wasn't aware, until Toni mentioned it, that -kill had another
meaning is the US, as "a stream, ‘creek’, or tributary river: so
called in parts of N. America originally settled by the Dutch (esp. in
place-names, as Schuylkill)". That would account for the
preponderance of water-based defs, all of which were wrong! The real
def, which Keith Hale and Millie Morgan guessed, was No 2, the little
flag or vane.

Dodi Schultz, the dealer of the previous round, is also our next
dealer with 7 natural points for her Dutch ice rink. Steve Dixon is
the fortunate runner-up with 5 natural points with his Western Gorse.
