Dick Weltz and Matthew Grieco have tied with 7 natural points each.
We've missed Matthew in Dixonary lately, but his absence from the game means
Dick is well and truly above him in the rolling scores.
Congratulations Dick; over to you!

Dave and JohnnyB correctly identified BRAB as being No.9 the Palmyra palm,
defined in the OED (and also in Wordnik which cites the Century Dictionary)

Goodnight :)
Millie

PS ... I'm back home now, so am able to send this in EXACTLY the same way I
have in past Deals, using Outlook Express on my PC.
(the previous posts I've sent these past few days were from Thunderbird on
my laptop).
So ... I wonder what it will look like in G.Groups this time.

Well, I must say it looks OK to me in both the old and the new Google Groups
views now.
(the strange characters in Paul's definition (No. 18) are there because it
included an a/e grapheme!)

Also in one (old) US dictionary. Couldn't find it when I Googled it (after
voting, of course) but did locate it in my 1934 Merriam-Webster Unabridged II.
