The word for round 2296 is

* *********************
* *
* G E N N E M I C *
* *
**********************

Capitalization is not significant.

Please concoct a fake definition for this word that you think your fellow
players will find plausible, or entertaining, or both.

Newcomers to the game are always welcome: your task is to induce the other
players to vote for your fake definition rather than the real one.
You will find the full rules at http://rules.dixonary.net but they can be
summarized thus:

1. Don't look the word up.

2. Make up a fake definition and email it to me.

3. Check back here after the deadline.

The deadline for submissions is on Easter Sunday 8 April 2012 at

13:30 PDT
14:30 MDT
15:30 CDT
16:30 EDT
20:30 UTC
21:30 BST
22:30 CEST for me

and on Easter Monday 9 April 2012 at

06:30 EST in Melbourne.

You can use the email address gennemic (AT) dixonary (DOT) net to submit definitions.
This is not a requirement: other email addresses you have for me will also
work.

*Please put "2296" or "GENNEMIC" in the subject line of your email. **This
is IMPORTANT. By not doing so, you run the risk that your definition will
be missed.*

For some reason, the special Email address below didn't appear as a
link, at least as delivered to me by Email and read with Thunderbird.
Usually such addresses show up as links, allowing me to right click and
have the option to "compose mail to" the address.

Did anyone else see it as I did? Maybe a feature of the new Google group
software????

GuerriHmm, in my original message about this, in the material I quoted
from Paul's message, the Email address *did* show up as a link.

Guerri, the "gennemic (AT) dixonary (DOT) net" in Paul's message wasn't in link form
in my T'bird either. But it DID appear in link form in your quotation of
that piece of Paul's message.

Go figure.

As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't matter, though. When I get around to
sending a def, probably tomorrow a.m., I'll click on one of Paul's usual
addresses in my address book.
