Here are 19 definitions of aplet, one of which came from a dictionary.
Vote for 2 no later than 10 AM EDT, Thursday, March 15.

1. a bib furnished to patrons by a restaurant.

2. [Fr.] a type of quick-release bicycle axle.

3. a perfume bottle stopper designed to carry the liquid to the body for
application, an alternative to an atomizer.

4. the handle of a sword cane.

5. a chainmail neckpiece.

6. a jeweled collar or headband.

7. a short entertainment or diversion, esp. between acts of a play.

8. greenish yellow.

9. a fine net used to catch herring.

10. (S. Afr. slang) a baby ape, e.g. orangutans.

11. [Obs.] to fill to the brim.

12. a domestic grounding device used in the absence of metal pipes.

13. a port where merchandise can be imported and re-exported without
paying import duties.

As painful and unpleasant as most perfume is to me personally, i
really like def #3, so i will have that, and since none of the rest
live up to that one (for me anyway) i'll add a number to the tens
column and go with #13 as well. Thank you, and good gravy.
